*Job Summary* We are seeking a skilled Sandblaster to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting or finishing by removing old paint, rust, and other contaminants using sandblasting techniques. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work with various materials in commercial settings. *Duties* * Operate sandblasting equipment to restore surfaces effectively. * Prepare surfaces by cleaning, masking, and applying appropriate techniques. * Utilize hand tools and power tools as necessary for surface preparation. * Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications. * Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality results in construction painting projects. * Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and safe condition. * Communicate effectively with supervisors and clients regarding project progress and requirements. * Assist in drywall installation or repair as needed. *Qualifications* * Proven experience in sandblasting required. * Familiarity with construction painting techniques for both commercial and residential projects. * Ability to read blueprints and follow technical instructions accurately. * Strong communication skills to work collaboratively within a team environment. * Experience with hand tools and rigging is a plus. * Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work. * Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
