*Overview* Price-Schonstrom Inc is a leader in manufacturing, specializing in stainless steel pressure vessel, food grade equiptment, piping spools and other types of fabrication. We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining processes and a passion for precision and quality. As a Machinist, you will be responsible for operating various machines and tools to create high-quality components and parts according to specifications. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to read blueprints effectively. *Duties* * Operate lathes, mills, and other machining equipment to fabricate parts according to specifications. * Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand project requirements. * Utilize power tools and hand tools for machining tasks, ensuring safety protocols are followed. * Conduct quality checks using calipers and other measuring instruments to ensure precision in all produced components. * Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste in the production process. * Maintain machinery by performing regular inspections, troubleshooting issues, and executing necessary repairs. * Collaborate with team members to meet production goals while adhering to safety standards. *Skills* * Proficient in operating lathes and other machining equipment. * Strong blueprint reading skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings accurately. * Solid mechanical knowledge with an understanding of machining processes and techniques. * Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices aimed at optimizing production efficiency. * Experience in fabricating parts using various materials and methods. * Competence in using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively. * Basic programming skills for CNC machines is a plus. * Forklift operation experience is advantageous for material handling tasks.
