Colio Estate Wines Inc. requires an experienced, knowledgeable and motivated Warehouse Manager at our Depot located in Mississauga. The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for the direct management and handling of all warehousing and distribution functions at the depot and off-site warehouse facilities.
They will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and seamless processing of incoming and outgoing shipments. They must adhere to legislative, safety, and organizational policies & procedures. The Warehouse Manager will deliver effective logistical oversight through strong leadership and decision-making skills.
It is essential that they understand the impact of this position to other business functions that depend on the accuracy and efficiency of warehouse operations.
*Job Duties*
* Manage the reception, handling, distribution, and storage of all freight, product, and supplies that come in and out of the Warehouse
* Ensure all orders and deliveries/pickups are shipped to customers in a timely manner in adherence to delivery schedules & proper invoicing.
* Deliver ad hoc orders within the GTA, and to move inventory between the warehouse and third-party warehousing.
* Process orders through POS system such as promotions, and credits.
* Manage/review third party delivery companies and discrepancies.
* Communicate all delays or variances in inbound/outbound freight to the appropriate parties.
* Maintain strict control over inventory levels in order to meet internal and external demand of product
* Plan warehouse layout and space requirements in order to prevent loss or damage, and to achieve full warehouse optimization.
* Take into account full implications of freight turnover, size, weight, and other factors when allocating warehouse space.
* Develop and/or enforce corporate policies regarding security and safety in order to maintain a safe working environment.
* Maintain appropriate and complete documentation regarding regulated products and/or hazardous materials.
* Conduct periodic spot-checks of inventory levels, supplies, or equipment.
* Assess the need for, and arrange the purchase of, moving equipment like trailers, forklifts, crash pads, dollies, and so on.
* Identify discrepancies between physical counts and inventory records and resolve.
* Keep tidy, clean, orderly and sanitary warehouse space
* Investigate causes of lost or damaged shipments.
* Implement and monitor performance metrics for shipping and receiving.
* Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
*Requirements*
* Post secondary education or equivalent experience, with a focus on warehousing, transportation, supply chain management, inventory control, or materials management.
* 2 years of direct work experience in a warehouse management function or supply chain management position.
* Direct working knowledge of operations, warehouse management, and transportation management.
* Direct knowledge of WHMIS and other safety systems.
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Word.
* Experience in managing third-party logistics providers.
* Strong knowledge of warehouse documentation, with good writing skills.
