SCE Electric Western Canada Ltd. is currently hiring electrical apprentices in St John's. We have a construction project consisting of three apartment buildings. Each building will be six floors of residential dwelling units. Applicants are required to have commercial construction experience. The buildings will be steel stud construction and we will be using BX throughout. EMT experience is a bonus, as there will be some conduit bending required. Applicants are required to be comfortable and experienced in a fast paced construction environment. Completion of the project is expected to be July 2025 . Employees will be involved in the rough-in of the suites, which includes installation of BX for lighting and power circuits, splicing, cable entering and termination, fixture/device installations, and daily clean up/organizing. Attention to detail and the ability to plan ahead are a must. PPE is mandatory at all times, and applicants are expected to have their own hand tools. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day. Reliable transportation and punctuality are also necessary.
