Hello! We?re Valbella Gourmet Foods ? a traditional European meat processing facility and café nestled in the heart of the Bow Valley in Canmore. We started over 45 years ago with a simple love for fine food and a commitment to creating the highest quality meat for our local communities. We are currently looking for a Delivery Driver with a commitment for customer service, a passion for good quality food and shared family values to join our team. *About You* · You are organized and proactive · You are physically strong and capable of lifting and/or carrying 50+lbs · You are able to work well independently and with minimal supervision · You have strong customer service skills · You enjoy driving and being the last link in the sales chain · You have a strong knowledge of Calgary and are able to navigate the city easily · You take direction when needed and take initiative to support the team · You share our love for fine food! *About the job* Every role at Valbella is important to our purpose of delivering the best quality experience and food to each customer. This is especially true of our Delivery Drivers, who fill a role that is critical to the success of our business. By delivering finished products to customers and ensuring the delivery truck is maintained in proper working order, the Delivery Driver completes the sales process and allows everyone?s hard work to be shared with our customers. Unlike some driving jobs that are more sedentary in nature, this role can be physically demanding and fast-paced. It involves a lot of heavy lifting as well as getting in and out of the truck frequently. A successful Delivery Driver will: · Be responsible for delivering time sensitive, refrigerated goods to Calgary, Cochrane, Canmore and Banff · Be responsible for various pickups around Calgary · Handle loading and unloading the truck · Make weekly garbage and recycling runs · Keep the truck clean and in good condition · Be responsible for ensuring regular truck maintenance is scheduled and completed · Enjoy working alone · Have a strong knowledge of Calgary?s layout *Required Certifications and Experience:* · Class 5 Drivers License · Clean drivers abstract · Prior delivery driving experience · Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack *What?s in it for you?* · Competitive wages · Free hot lunch daily! · Medical and dental benefits · Staff discounts in our deli · A happy, healthy work environment You will only be required to work day-shifts and as we are closed Sundays, you will always have this day off. *A little more about Valbella Gourmet Foods* Valbella Gourmet Foods has been a Bow Valley favourite for over 45 years, offering the highest quality bacon, sausages, hams, charcuterie and much more.
