This role is ideal for an experienced leader committed to advancing educational excellence, fostering inclusive learning environments, and supporting the continuous growth and well-being of all learners. <p>Located in the majestic Nass Valley in Northwestern British Columbia, the Nisga'a School District encompasses the traditional treaty territory of the Nisga'a Nation. This region offers unparalleled opportunities for outdoor exploration and deep cultural engagement, making it a unique place to live, learn, and lead. <p>Role Overview <p>Reporting to the Superintendent of Schools, the Director of Instruction Learning and Innovation is part of the senior leadership team who work collaboratively to support the success of all learners. The successful candidate is an accomplished, engaged and relational leader who is focused on creating impact for learners and inspiring shared responsibility throughout the district. <p>Key Responsibilities <p><p> Leading implementation of K-12 curriculum and instruction, ensuring alignment with provincial standards and innovative instructional practices to meet the learning needs of all learners <p> Oversee the administration, interpretation and use of student achievement data to increase the use of data to inform instruction <p> Providing leadership in developing programs related to social/emotional learning, mental health and well- being <p> Connecting and networking with local educators, schools, and regional/provincial networks in support of K-12 initiatives <p> Mentor and support new teachers and administrators, fostering a culture of collaboration and professional growth <p> Identifying and supporting professional learning relating to education transformation <p> Lead technology initiatives, including developing a strategic long-range technology plan that enhances teaching and learning <p><p>Qualifications <p><p> BC Professional Teaching Certificate and a member in good standing with the Teacher Regulation Branch <p> Master's Degree (PhD preferred) in Education, Curriculum, or Instruction with a focus on educational leadership <p> Over 10 years of exemplary teaching and leadership experience in diverse K-12 settings, including district- level roles <p> Proven experience in leading inclusive education and supporting students with diverse needs <p> Strong relational leadership skills with a focus on ethical decision-making, equity, and reconciliation <p> Enthusiasm, passion and dedication to the principles of lifelong learning opportunities that meet the needs of all learners <p> Demonstrated expertise in data analysis, strategic planning, and instructional improvement <p><p>The successful candidate will have demonstrated: <p><p> Leadership and strategic insight as part of a senior management team, fostering effective school and community relations <p> Ability to provide district leadership, strategic insight and policy direction as a member of senior management team <p> Proven success in K-12 leadership, with extensive experience in both classroom teaching and instructional improvement, including differentiated instruction for diverse learners <p> Expertise in implementing BC Curriculum and research-based strategies, with a focus on technology integration to enhance student learning <p> Strong skills in budget management, resource allocation, and policy direction aligned with the district's mission and vision <p> Commitment to social-emotional learning, student engagement, and continuous improvement through data- driven accountability systems <p> Experience in administering provincial, local and other assessments (e.g.,
