*Forklift Operator* The Forklift Operator is responsible for assisting with the efficient operation of production throughout the plant by delivering or moving, loading and unloading materials by hand or using a variety of material handling equipment. The individual will be responsible to assist in the shipping and receiving of all materials as required. *Job Details:* * Material handling of merchandise in a safe, accurate and productive manner * Unload delivery trucks upon arrival * Receive incoming materials and/or prepare materials for shipment. * Operate winches and other loading devices to load and unload materials onto and off trucks * Operate industrial trucks and other equipment to transport materials to and from transportation vehicles and to store and retrieve materials in warehouses * Perform a combination of shipping/receiving tasks such as assisting in taking inventory and weighing and checking materials. * Operate conveyors and equipment to transfer grain or other materials from transportation vehicles to elevators, bins or other storage areas * Assist with inventory count when necessary * Deliver all materials and parts around the shop as required * Ensure the storage building and outside areas are maintained and organized * Provide assistance as necessary in other areas throughout the shop *Required Skills:* * Ability and skills in the safe operation of materials handling equipment * Willingness to learn * Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload * Ability to use a computer * Strong organizational skills * Ability to operate a forklift * Good verbal and written communication skills * Capable of handling heavy loads lifting up to 100 pounds * Able to work outside in variable temperatures and weather conditions * Must be willing to carry radio at all times * Must obey all safety rules of shop areas and wear safety equipment when required *Hours: *Monday to Thursday 7:00AM-5:00PM and Fridays 7:00AM-4:00PM *About our company:* We are proud to be a leading Canadian manufacturer of live bottom trailers with our Live Bottom, Hycube, and Multi-Purpose Box.
