*Job Summary*
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in patients, particularly in pediatric settings. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and case management within an acute care environment. The Speech Language Pathologist will work closely with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop effective treatment plans and improve patient outcomes.
*Responsibilities*
* Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech and language abilities in patients.
* Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
* Provide therapy to patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
* Educate patients and families about communication disorders and treatment options.
* Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment interventions.
* Stay updated on best practices in speech-language pathology and participate in ongoing professional development.
*Qualifications*
* Master?s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
* Current state licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist.
* Experience in pediatrics is preferred; experience in a hospital or acute care setting is a plus.
* Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to speech-language pathology.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with patients and their families.
* Ability to manage multiple cases while providing high-quality patient care.
* Familiarity with case management principles is advantageous.
