With expertise spanning across Interior Trim, Exterior Siding, Cabinetry, and Framing divisions, we are committed to delivering excellence in craftsmanship and service.</p><p> </p><p>As a Yard Forklift Operator, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of products and materials, particularly cabinetry and trim materials, contributing to the smooth operation of our facilities.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Primary responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Operate a telescopic forklift, for the storage, transportation, and removal of materials.</li><li>Load, unload, and stage products and materials in designated areas, ensuring accuracy and organization.</li><li>Track and record units of materials handled to ensure accurate inventory, utilizing inventory management systems.</li><li>Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following safety protocols and guidelines.</li><li>Assist in the organization of materials within the warehouse as well as in storage sheds to optimize storage space and streamline material retrieval.</li><li>Coordinate with team members to ensure timely material flow, adhering to production schedules and deadlines.</li><li>Report any hazards, issues, or incidents to management in a timely manner to prevent safety concerns.</li><li>Maintain the cleanliness of the yard as well as keeping building entrances clear of debris and snow.</li></ul><p> </p><p> </p><p><strong>Requirements: </strong></p><ul><li>Valid Forklift Certification is an asset.</li><li>Experience operating a forklift (telescopic boom forklift is an asset)</li><li>Experience in general labor, construction, or similar fields is preferred.</li><li>Familiarity with operating industrial vehicles such as pallet jacks and forklifts.</li><li>Ability to handle physical workloads, including heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) and standing for extended periods.</li><li>Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate inventory and proper material handling.</li><li>Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.</li><li>Previous experience with inventory management systems or logistics software is a plus.</li><li>A proactive attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li></ul><p> </p><p> </p><p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p><ul><li>Dental care</li><li>Extended health care</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>On-site parking</li><li>Casual dress</li><li>Company events</li></ul></div>Company Description<div>Potvin Construction, family owned local business, has been a leader in the Ottawa construction industry.
