The *Siding Installer* is responsible for the complete construction of a building's exterior. In particular, the Siding Installer is in charge of installing siding uniformly and firmly over a building's face using tools and other equipment on: the exterior walls of residences or commercial buildings, and other structures. The ideal Siding Installer has strong measurement and installation skills that allow for accurate installation the first time around with minimal waste. Additional responsibilities may also include installing flashing, fascia, and gutters. * Installing boards made of fiber cement, vinyl, aluminium, or wood for siding. * Repairing homes' and businesses' damaged siding as necessary. * Installing roof vents, flashing, and other elements to prevent water from entering walls and damaging the building. * Ensuring straight cuts by marking and cutting materials to length. * Using siding materials like vinyl or aluminium when building new structures or repairing damage to already-existing homes or businesses. * Using construction adhesive, cutting wood or steel to fit openings, and installing windows and doors according to predetermined measurements. * Installing insulation and vapour barrier materials before putting siding on exterior walls. * Ensuring the siding materials fit the windows and doors through measuring and cutting. * Classifying and marking studs and joists in walls to guarantee proper siding installation. * Performing other related duties as assigned. e: contact@monarchybuild.ca t: 613-505-0552 Ext:101 Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care Schedule: * 10 hour shift * Monday to Friday * Overtime Work Location: In person- LocationOttawa, ON
