STATEMENT OF PURPOSE</strong></p><p>Preventative and regular maintenance of food manufacturing equipment.</p><p><strong>II. RESPONSIBILITY FOR WORK OF OTHERS</strong></p><p>None</p><p><strong>III. BUSINESS COMMUNICATION</strong></p><p>Good verbal, written and presentation skills</p><p><strong>IV. SUPERVISION REQUIRED</strong></p><p>Daily workload specified and prioritized. Work quality is verified periodically. Annual review of established goals and work performance.</p><p><strong>V.</strong> <strong>EDUCATION REQUIRED</strong></p><p>• Certificate in License for Industrial Electrician</p><p><strong>VI.</strong> <strong>TRAINING AND SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED</strong></p><p>• Knowledge of pumps, valves, motors and piping desired.</p><p>• Can distinguish colors used in electric wiring colours-coding.</p><p>• Hands-on PLC, VFD and process instrumentation</p><p>• Hands-on knowledge of disconnect switches and feeder breakers</p><p><strong>VII. EXPERIENCE</strong></p><p>• 5 years minimum experience required as a qualified Industrial Electrician.</p><p>• Experience in a food manufacturing facility is an asset.</p><p><strong>VIII. TRAVEL REQUIRED</strong></p><p>Minimal travel required for training and cross training at other Nitta facilities.</p><p><strong>IX.</strong> <strong>SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><p>• Candidate will be required to continue to upgrade skills on an on-going basis.</p><p>• Maintain and repair production related machinery.</p><p>• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose Motors, Control Circuits, and Process Control (VFD & PLC's).</p><p>• Update and maintain all logs and documentation.</p><p>• Modify existing equipment to improve performance.</p><p>• Must be able to work night shift and weekends.</p><p>• Follow all GMP, Health & Safety, Food Safety & Environmental Standards.</p><p>• Have good undersigning of the ESA requirements and the electrical code.</p><p>• Must follow food safety regulations</p><p><strong>X.</strong> <strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</strong></p><p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.</p><p><strong>XI.</strong> <strong>WORK ENVIRONMENT</strong></p><p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
