*Position Overview*
As the *Assistant Warehouse Manager*, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of our five-level warehouse facility. This full-time, on-site role involves overseeing daily warehousing activities, ensuring inventory accuracy, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence.
*Roles & Responsibilities*
* *Warehouse Operations:* Assist in managing daily operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping of a diverse range of food products.
* *Inventory Management:* Ensure accurate inventory levels through regular cycle counts and audits, utilizing our Warehouse Management System (WMS) for real-time tracking.
* *Team Leadership:* Supervise, train, and develop warehouse staff, promoting a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
* *Compliance:* Ensure adherence to all regulatory standards, including GMP, HACCP, and safety protocols, maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
* *Process Improvement:* Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
* *Technology Utilization:* Oversee the effective use of the WMS, providing training to staff and ensuring the system is leveraged for optimal inventory control and accuracy.
* *Reporting:* Generate and analyze operational reports to monitor KPIs, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to management.
* *Regulatory Interaction:* Address inquiries and inspections from regulatory authorities, such as CFIA and MOL, ensuring compliance and readiness.
*Qualifications*
* *Experience:* 4-5 years in warehouse management, preferably within the food manufacturing or distribution sectors, managing multi-level facilities with diverse product categories.
* *Education:* Bachelor?s degree preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
* *Regulatory Knowledge:* Strong understanding of Ontario OHSA, HACCP, and Allergen Programs.
* *Technical Skills:* Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and related technologies; experience with ERP systems is an asset.
* *Leadership Abilities:* Demonstrated skills in team management, training, and development.
* *Problem-Solving:* Strong analytical and organizational capabilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
* *Flexibility:* Ability to work early, late, or weekend shifts as needed to meet operational demands.
* *Certifications:* Valid Reach and Counter Balance forklift licenses are preferred.
