Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: At heights. Cold/refrigerated. Dusty. Noisy. Outdoors. Work setting: Commercial. Remote location. Residential. Rural area. Urban area. Various locations. Tasks: Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster. Cure freshly plastered surfaces. Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings. Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in finish coat, if required. Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices and trim. Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry. Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages. Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling. Handling heavy loads. Manual dexterity. Physically demanding. Repetitive tasks. Standing for extended periods. Work under pressure. Weight handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs). Personal suitability: Client focus. Dependability. Flexibility.
