Please note that this position is a term contract. Here's where you'll be focusing:Conduct analyses on benefits programs including competitive market analysis, cost/ benefit analysis, regulatory compliance, and organizational/ financial impactEnsure compliance with benefit legislation including education of Human Resources, payroll, and benefits staff about legislative requirements and updatesAct as a resource to regions and National Human Resource Services with respect to problem resolutionProvide support during labour negotiations by providing benefit plan costingEnsure benefits eligibility and procedures are administered according to the appropriate contracts and plan textsConduct external benchmarking of plan best practices through surveys and other sources of information and make recommendation for competitive market positioningCompile financial statistics and claims analysis related to the benefits and relocation programsPrepare regular reports to management with recommendations where appropriateConduct regular audits of the benefits and relocation programs to ensure data integrity and good governanceInvestigate discrepancies and make recommendations to resolve any issuesRun various reports to validate benefit deduction file accuracyMaintain a clean and safe work environment as per company requirementsFranchise Remittances for Franchise Group (every 5th of the month)Backup files by store, cost per line benefits (for Ceridian stores, Stores on MBC, Telus health EFAP)Franchise conversions/onboards - bi-weekly conversation calls. (waves of conversions may require additional efforts and work capacity)What you have to offer:An Undergraduate DegreeA minimum of 2 years relevant experience in employee benefits Extensive knowledge of current legislation as it relates to employee benefitsCEBS, GBA, or CHRP DesignationBilingual, English / French considered an asset (The candidate will be expected to work with peers in other provinces in the development, development and implementation of tools and processes across Canada, as well as provide support to Sobeys employees across Canada)Excellent interpersonal skills and organizational skillsAbility to prioritize and handle multiple tasksStrong communication and presentation skillsSuperior analytical and mathematical skillsGood knowledge of Microsoft Excel#LI-MM1 #LI-Hybrid At Sobeys we require our teammates to have the ability to adhere to a hybrid work model that requires your presence at one of our office locations at least three days per week.
