<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p> <strong>JOB AREA:</strong> Technical Lead; Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC)</p><p>• <strong>Barrier Marine Services (Canada) Ltd </strong>is looking for a Senior Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) specialist with solid knowledge and experience in marine HVAC design and rules to join the company. The successful candidate will fill the role of <strong>HVAC Technical Lead</strong>, reporting to the Project Manager, as part of a dynamic team working on every step of the design from concept, through fabrication, to installation and commissioning.</p><p>• <strong>LOCATION: </strong>1371 McKeen Avenue, North Vancouver BC V7P 3H9 Canada</p><p>• <strong>POSITION TERMS:</strong> Full-time, Permanent employee</p><p>Benefits includes package employer contributions to medical, dental, and retirement savings. Details presented with employment offer.</p><p>• <strong>EXPERIENCE:</strong> 5+ YEAR</p><p> </p><p>The following outlines the job description in more detail:</p><p>• Oversee development of HVAC concept, basic, and detail design</p><p>• Project progress tracking and reporting</p><p>• Write HVAC systems specifications</p><p>• Oversee and reviw heat load calculations, ventilation volume calculations, noise calculations, and pressure drop calculations</p><p>• Production of HVAC D&IDs, P&IDs, and one-line diagrams</p><p>• Review and advise on chiller plant calculations</p><p>• Coordinate and integrate HVAC systems in deck areas and ACR using different 3D software</p><p>• Read, comprehend, and interpret customer specifications and requirements</p><p>• Coordinate and oversee Construction, Commissioning, and Operational Optimization activities</p><p>• Leads and manages the interfacing and coordination of program delivery and customer expectations</p><p>• Consults and communicates with clients with respect to equipment selection</p><p>• Guidance and mentoring of Jr. HVAC Designers and Technicans</p><p>• Specific application of Marine industry regulations (LR, SOLAS, etc.)</p><p> </p><p><strong>BASIC QUALIFICATION</strong></p><p> Technical Education in Marine or Mechanical Engineering, or a similar field. University degree preferred (BSc and/or MSc).</p><p>• 5+ years' experience in a similar Marine Industry position.</p><p>• Languages: proficiency in English. Knowledge of French will be an advantage</p><p> </p><p><strong>ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p><p> Ability to work in a team environment with rapidly changing priorities and multiple tasks with critical concurrent deadlines</p><p>• Self-motivated and able to identify and take action on potential issues and problems</p><p>• Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary, multi-national team</p><p>• High level of accountability, integrity, and ethics in the workplace</p><p>• Competency with load calculation software such as Carrier HAP and AUTOCAD</p><p>• Willingness to travel internationally to support clients or suppliers in the field </p><p> </p><p><strong>Salary range</strong></p><p>• CAD $127,192 - $170,000 per annum</p><p> </p><p>Email <span class="long-word">Recruitment@barriergroup.com</span> for further information.</p></div></div>
