*Job description* *\*\*\*To be considered, applicant must include a cover letter with weekly availabilities and work related experience.\*\*\** On Leash is looking for dog lovers to join the family! We specialize in dog walking and positive reinforcement training in Kelowna and West Kelowna. Passionate about animals? Get your dream job and start walking and hiking with dogs now! \*\*\*Applicant MUST have some experience working with dogs or children and be willing to learn more about positive dog training methods such as leash walking skills, basic obedience, lure training and much more (online training provided). Must be willing and comfortable to work outside for long hours in any weather conditions (gear not provided).\*\*\* The candidate must be patient, organized, eager to learn and have a positive attitude. Must be confident, physically fit and reliable candidates. Must have a car in good working condition which can fit up to 3 to 4 dogs comfortably. Valid BC driver's license required. \*\*\*The job requires driving from one client to another around town and gas expense is not covered by the Employer\*\*\* \*\*\*The position is a part-time/casual job with possibility to get full-time hours. Hours are variable and depends on bookings. This job opportunity is a way to complement your monthly income and should not be your primary source of income. \*\*\* Manage your schedule and days off. The ideal candidate must be available some mornings and some days during the week. Some weekend availability is an asset. Your Role as a dog walker at On Leash: - Properly exercise and socialize dogs on daily walks and off-leash hikes. Build a long lasting relationship with our clients and their dogs. Play with puppies and help with basic training. Possibility to get extra hours with occasional pet sitting at the owner's home. - Take photos and videos of your work for our clients and to use on our social media channels. - Be able to administer Pet First Aid in the event of an accident, injury or emergency. Must have a valid pet first aid certification or willing to get one (not covered but tax deductible). - Ability and willingness to walk up to 5 to 20km per work day in all types of weather.
