Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Noisy. Dusty. Work setting: Wood products manufacturer. Tasks: Set up, program and operate one or more computerized or manual woodworking machines. Fabricate or repair wooden parts for furniture, fixtures and other wood products. Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions. Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment. Replace parts as required. Equipment and machinery experience: Drills. Planers. Routers. Sanders. Saws. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Standing for extended periods. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Screening questions: Are you currently a student?. Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?.
