We are excited to offer a *full-time, 1-year opportunity* for a *Finance & Operations Lead* to join our dynamic team in Calgary, Alberta. This position is ideal for individuals eager to gain hands-on experience in a startup environment. We are seeking candidates who not only possess strong technical skills but are also driven by a sense of purpose and dedication to making a meaningful impact. *Key Responsibilities:* *As the Finance & Operations Lead, you will be responsible for:* · Managing cash flow and preparing accurate financial forecasts. · Developing and presenting financial reports and analyses. · Leading grant application processes and overseeing grant management. · Identifying and implementing process optimization and efficiency improvements. · Overseeing vendor management and negotiating contracts. · Implementing and managing administrative software systems. · Fostering cross-functional collaboration and effective communication. · Managing HR functions, including onboarding and employee support. · Providing critical operational support and contributing to strategic planning. *Skills and Qualifications: * · A bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, commerce or a related field is required. · Professional certification preferred (e.g., ACCA, CPA) · Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience · Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities. · Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team. · Proficiency in data analysis and standard office software. · Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to take initiative and adapt to a dynamic startup environment. *Language of work:* English *Compensation:* $25-$40/hr, includes eligibility for performance pay based on achieving key project milestones.
