Our solid reputation and over 20 years of experience makes us the most highly recommended service on the North Shore and we are ready to add a smart and enthusiastic dog lover to our team to provide one on one walks with dogs who need that extra attention and care. The Job: As a sub contractor, you use your own vehicle for dog transport and equipment. (Any type of vehicle would be suitable for this position. You would have zero to three dogs in your car at any time.) We provide your clients and offer a supportive team environment with well practiced procedures & protocols for occurrences and bylaws that are specific to our industry. Invoicing is per job and increases are based on experience and performance. As a private dog walker, you would walk either private (one dog) or semi-private (groups of 1-3 dogs) at time. Depending on the dogs? needs, this could be a hike in the woods or a slower walk in their neighbourhood. You could also provide puppy care for our puppy program that starts with visits for some play time and a bathroom break, and graduates into short walks working on increasing their walking time and working on their leash skills. We also have boarding and housesitting opportunities as well as weekend walks for extra income. It isn?t mandatory that you can board dogs in your home, or provide care in our clients? homes, but it is a great opportunity for substantive ancillary income. We genuinely believe that exercise, fresh air, positivity and belly rubs are the key to happiness! And a flexible schedule to boot! Can?t get much better than that! :) Think you would fit in well? You?re a fast thinker, who is able to communicate clearly, especially when you are in a high stress and quickly changing circumstances. You able to do 1-5 hikes per day, 30 minutes to 1.5 hours each & able to lift 100lbs? You will also need your own a smart phone with a data plan for text and voice communication. You must also need to be able to commit to at least one year of work. We are not looking for temporary walkers to join our team.
