*Overview* We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry tasks and be proficient in using power tools and interpreting schematics. This role involves working on diverse projects, including construction, restoration, and maintenance tasks. The Carpenter will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. *Responsibilities* * Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard. * Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications. * Perform construction estimating to assess material needs and project costs. * Execute roofing tasks, including installation and repairs. * Restore existing structures through renovation or remodeling efforts. * Install siding and ensure proper sealing using caulking techniques. * Utilize various power tools safely and effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing materials. * Collaborate with other tradespeople such as electricians and painters to complete projects efficiently. * Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols. *Qualifications* * Proven experience as a Carpenter or in a similar role within the construction industry. * Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and tools. * Ability to read blueprints and technical documents accurately. * Proficiency in construction estimating is preferred but not mandatory. * Experience with electrical work or construction painting is a plus. * Familiarity with roofing systems and siding installation techniques is advantageous. * Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. * Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials as needed. * Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
