We are looking for professional care aides/home health care workers to join our team and provide quality care to our patients of various facilities/homes on the island. Carelink Home Care is women led, and locally operated travel nursing agency in Victoria, BC. Our work environment includes: * Growth opportunities Duties: * Care for pets * Administer bedside and personal care * Administer medications * Assist clients in water (i.e. pool) * Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene * Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk * Assume full responsibility for household (in absence of householder) * Change non-sterile dressings * Collect specimens * Feed or assist in feeding * Launder clothing and household linens * Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties * Plan therapeutic diets and menus * Provide companionship * Provide personal care * Shop for food and household supplies * Prepare and serve nutritious meals Experience: - Previous experience working in caregiving role is preferred * Persons with Alzheimer's disease * Adults * Convalescent * Elderly * Persons with a disability * Persons with physical disabilities Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $28.85 per hour Expected hours: 35 per week Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care * Flexible schedule * On-site parking Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * Day shift * Evening shift * Every Weekend * Monday to Friday * Morning shift * Night shift * Weekends as needed Ability to commute/relocate: * Victoria, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Education: * Secondary School (required) Language: * English (required) Licence/Certification: * Health Care Aide Certificate (required) * Class 5 Licence (required) Willingness to travel: * 100% (required) Work Location: In person Expected start date: 2024-11-30- LocationVictoria, BC
