Position Title: General Laborer & Truck DriverPosition Type: Regular - Full-Time Position Location: Grand Falls Fertilizer Grade: Scale NO GRADE Requisition ID: 33172 Driver/General Laborer - Class 3McCain Fertilizer, a Division of McCain Produce Inc, is a leading distributer of crop inputs, including blended fertilizer, crop protection products and other related inputs, with multiple locations in Atlantic Canada and the State of Maine.We are currently seeking a combination Delivery Truck Driver, Class 3A, and General Laborer for our Grand Falls Location. This position is based out of the Grand Falls area with daily deliveries in surrounding areas and Maine. This is a full-time, permanent position, offering full benefits and pension enrollment. JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:Assets (not mandatory):Ability to operate a forklift Bilingual (French and English)Ability to deliver to MaineRequired: Class 3 driver's licenseFlexibility to work possible evenings and/or weekends during busy planting and harvest seasonsAbility to work well with supervision and other employeesAble to lift and carry up to 23kg (50lbs)Willing and capable to work at heightsAssist in performing preventive maintenance and repairs of all equipment and buildingsWilling and capable of physical labor in varying weather conditions as requiredCapable of working in dusty environmentsTeam player with excellent attendanceHighly motivated, observant with good initiative and a positive attitude.Good verbal communication skills.Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment adapting to and embracing change as it occurs.Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.Must possess a good safety record and demonstrate 'safety first' on a continual basis, following all safety requirements.The above information indicates the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
