Position: Bookkeeper
Hourly Range: $24.60 - $26.10 per hour
Parkview Children?s Centre, is currently seeking a Senior Accounting Clerk for a permanent position working 30-40 hours per week.
Preferred Background: Three-Five years of experience in bookkeeping and general accounting; Post-secondary diploma or certificate in accounting, business administration; Working knowledge of Quickbooks; Experience using payroll software would be essential; Experience working in a not-for-profit program;

Duties:
As the Senior Accounting Clerk you would be responsible for promoting Parkview?s vision, philosophy, policies, and procedures. You would also be responsible for supporting the Finance Coordinator in achieving the goals of the Board of Directors, Treasurer and Finance/Audit Committee. Duties include, but are not limited to:
· Prepares and processes payroll and fee payment processes, in collaboration with the Finance Coordinator.
· Performs general accounting journal entries and maintains accounting records using Quickbooks, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles for not for profit organizations.
* Performs monthly bank statements reconciliation.
* Assists with internal audit.
* Assists the Finance Coordinator in providing weekly and monthly reports to the Executive Director
* Assists the Finance Coordinator in providing monthly and quarterly reports to the Treasurer and Finance/Audit Committee, including financial statement with variance analysis, income and expense trend analysis.
* Under the direction of the Finance Coordinator, implements processes, control procedures and systems to support the maintenance of complete and accurate financial files, both electronic and paper copy.
* Works and communicates collaboratively with the Finance Coordinator, Executive Director and other employees within the organization in the execution of daily responsibilities.
* Assists the Finance Coordinator in the preparation of funding proposals and provide timely and accurate financial reports to funders.
* Assists in preparing and processing all government reports related to payroll including EHT, CRA filings, T4, T4A, EI, ROE
* Follows Health and Safety Standards.
* Participates in ongoing professional growth and development.
* Performs other duties, as assigned.
