Position #: 171346 Expected Start Date: November 25, 2024 Union: SUN Facility: Addictions Outreach Office City/Town: Saskatoon Department: Connecting to Care Type: Part-time regular FTE: 0.5 Shift Information: Days, Evenings, Weekends Hours of Work: 112 hours per 6 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: Yes Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Nurse Practitioner $52.590 to $62.910 Travel Required: No Job Description: The Mental Health and Addiction Services Community Outreach Nurse Practitioner RN (NP) reports to the Manager of Mental Health and Addiction Services - Adult Outreach and Targeted Prevention Services. The RN (NP) is an advanced practice nurse with knowledge and skills gained through additional education and experience. The RN (NP) blends in-depth knowledge of nursing with the legal authority to order diagnostic tests, prescribe pharmaceuticals and performs specific procedures in management and treatment of common acute illnesses and stable chronic conditions. The RN (NP) practices within a framework of evidence-based primary care and mental and health and addictions care. The RN (NP) will have responsibilities of clinical team building and clinical supervision within a collaborative community nursing model of care. Human Resources Exemption: No Experience- 2 years FT recent experience as RN working with marginalized populations in MHAS- Three (3) full-time years of experience as a Registered NurseEducation- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)Licenses- Basic Life Support Health Care Provider Certificate (BLS-HCP)- Valid Class 5 driver's licenseOther Education and Training- Basic Life Support Level C Certificate (BLS-C)Competencies- Basic - Organizational skills- Basic - Leadership skills- Basic - Critical thinking skills- Basic - Communication skillsKnowledge and Abilities- Demonstrates empathy, trust...For more information on this job, please visit the employer's website.- LocationSaskatoon, SK
