Exact Industrial is looking for a health and safety coordinator to join our growing team. Placement is full time. Hours of work are flexible between 7 am ? 4 pm and 8 am to 5 pm Company vehicle included. Package starting at $65,000.00 to $75,000.00 + benefits This position is on site. *Roles and responsibilities will include.* · Weekly visits. · Safety tracking. · Logging and tracking of employee certifications. · Training scheduling and coordination. · Updates, assignments and ongoing upkeep pf safety memberships such as ISN, Avetta, Cognibox. · Team member must have a proficient understand of WSIB, Ontario Ministry of Labour Rules and Regulations and knowledge and understanding of the green book. · Update and maintain company health and safety manual and other current documents. · Responsible for planning and coordinating yearly safety meeting. · Understanding, knowledge and experience with Industrial trades and trade related work such as working at heights, welding, operating heavy equipment, hoisting and rigging. · Support and lead the implementation of new health and safety practices and procedures. · Comprehensive knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations. · Regular site visits and audits · Organizing JHSC · Provide training and participate in train the trainer · Lead/investigate safety infractions. Handle onsite safety concerns. *Skills and training required:* · Trained in Microsoft suite including word, excel, office. · 3-5 years of experience in commercial / industrial safety coordination. · Excellent communication, interpersonal, administrative and organizational skills. · Ability to lead a team, be assertive, gain team buy in and compliance. · Able to work alone and manage one?s own time and schedule while achieving set out timelines and deadlines. · Interested in team atmosphere and company growth. · First aid, CPR and basics of supervision a plus. · An educational background in occupational H&S, risk management and / or direct industry experience. · Previous knowledge of Certificate of Recognition (COR) and IHSA is a benefit. · NSCO Certification preferred. · JHSC Certified, COR Auditor, COR Essentials an asset. · Must have a clean drivers abstract with a Full G License.
