Position #: 096010 Expected Start Date: November 29, 2024 Union: HSAS Facility: Langenburg Health Care Complex City/Town: Langenburg Department: Ambulance - Land Type: Part-time temporary Expected Up to Date: November 07, 2025 FTE: 0.83 Shift Information: Days, Evenings, Weekends, StandbyScheduled hours of work may be reduced during the rotation stipulated when a statutory holiday is recognized during that period. Hours of Work: 26 shifts of 8 hours per 6 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Emergency Medical Technician $29.909 to $36.572 Travel Required: No Job Description: The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) reports to the Director of Emergency Medical Services and when on site in a facility to the designated Supervisor/Charge Nurse. EMTs provide direct pre-hospital, emergency and patient care. They assist with the operations of the facilities they serve. The only restriction that has been identified governing their participation in these departments is; No duties can restrict them from responding immediately to any ambulance calls. EMTs shall abide by the Saskatchewan Health Authority and its Affiliates Mission, Vision, Values, Policies and Procedures.
