Position #: 098412 Expected Start Date: January 06, 2025 Union: HSAS Facility: Kikinahk Friendship Centre City/Town: La Ronge Department: New Alcohol and Drug Initiatives - Project Hope Youth Worker Type: Full-time regular FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days Hours of Work: 224 hours per 6 weeks Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Addictions Counsellor - Diploma $29.584 to $36.176 Travel Required: Yes Job Description: Restores, maintains and enhances the recovery of clients seeking help for addiction and/or addiction related impacts by implementing various modalities of addiction recovery programs. Responsibilities include providing informational programming as well as individual and group counselling sessions with clients. This position will be expected to assess individual and group needs of clients and implement plans to help clients reach their goals Human Resources Exemption: No Experience- An equivalent of education and experience may be consideredEducation- Addictions Counselling diplomaLicenses- Valid Class 5 driver's licenseCompetencies- Problem solving skillsKnowledge and Abilities- Knowledge in holistic addictions treatment model- Knowledge in factors affecting family dynamics- Ability to screen for addictions and/or addiction related symptoms- Knowledge in group dynamics- Knowledge in Transtheoretical model of change- Knowledge in co-current disorders and issues related to gambling addictions- Knowledge in applying a cognitive-behavioral or other major modes of therapy- Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team- Knowledge in various mental health and addiction and harm reduction strategies- Knowledge of addictions interventions involving drugs, alcohol or tobacco- Knowledge in Developmental Model of Recovery- Demonstrate knowledge in addiction(s) and their effects...For more information on this job, please visit the employer's website.- LocationLa Ronge, SK
