*Job Summary* We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing care and support to animals in our facility. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals, strong customer service skills, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed. This position is essential in ensuring the well-being of the pets in our care while maintaining a clean and safe environment. *Responsibilities* * Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising. * Clean and maintain kennel areas, ensuring a hygienic environment for all animals. * Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to management. * Assist with customer service by greeting clients and addressing their inquiries. * Handle heavy lifting tasks related to animal care, such as moving supplies or larger pets. * Maintain accurate records of animal care and services provided. * Ensure all safety protocols are followed to protect both animals and staff. *Experience* * Previous experience working with animals is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential. * Customer service experience is highly desirable to effectively interact with pet owners. * Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with animal care. * Able to work in a fast paced environment. * Comfortable working with animals of all shapes, sizes and temperaments. * Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are crucial for success in this role.
