We are seeking a dedicated motivated & permanent Pharmacy Assistant to join our pharmacy team. We are an independent pharmacy operating for 35+ years in Mississauga located in a busy medical clinic. As a pharmacy assistant, you will have a big role in utilizing your skills and expertise in helping the pharmacy operate to provide optimal care and service to all on a daily basis. *Responsibilities* - Assist the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications with careful attention to detail - Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed medications and supplies, placing prescription and over the counter orders, verifying daily purchases received, and removing outdated drugs and front shop items - Data entry & processing prescriptions accurately and efficiently -Cashing out customers and keeping the pharmacy clean, well-kept, well-stocked and organized - Answering phone calls for prescription refills and pharmacy inquiries -Greeting and providing excellent customer service to patients, healthcare professionals, third party insurance by answering questions and resolving issues -Willingness to quickly learn and adapt to different situations and the ability to prioritize and muiltitask - Being professional, punctual and reliable for each and every shift *Experience* - 2 years of retail pharmacy experience in Ontario preferred - Knowledge with PharmaClik/PropelRx is an asset and well as working with pharmacy computer systems and software - Good communication skills required - English fluency & proficiency required and being multiligual is an asset *Schedule:* 4 days per week (Monday-Thursday) 30 Hours Per Week Monday 9:30AM - 2:30PM Tuesday 10:00AM - 8:00PM Wednesday 10:00AM-8:00PM Thursday 3:00PM - 8:00PM + some weekends and vacation coverage when required Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $17.20-$20.00 per hour Expected hours: 30 ? 35 per week Benefits: * On-site parking * Store discount Schedule: * 10 hour shift * 4 hour shift * Day shift * Evening shift * Every Weekend * Morning shift * On call * Weekends as needed Ability to commute/relocate: * Mississauga, ON L5B 3A8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Experience: * pharmacy: 2 years (required) Work Location: In person- LocationMississauga, ON
