Their primary role is to work with the Mathematics teachers in supporting best practices<p>in using data, analyzing school-wide instructional trends, and recommending next steps in<p>addressing areas of need in student learning.<p><p>ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: <p><p>? Observation of instructional delivery and provision of feedback to teachers to enhance and<p>support their growth in numeracy instruction<p><p>? Modeling of lessons to teachers and facilitation of numeracy professional development<p><p>? Support of teachers and/or teams of teachers in unit and lesson design and in developing<p>long-range plans<p><p>? Data analysis to determine adaptations and/or modifications of curriculum and assessment<p>to meet student needs<p><p>? Assisting teachers in diagnosing individual student areas for growth in mathematics and<p>recommending appropriate strategies and interventions<p><p>? Collaboration with Academic Leadership Team to support the sharing of best practices<p><p>? Assisting in the creation of system-wide numeracy practices and procedures<p><p>? Support in recommending instructional resources<p><p> <p>POSITION REQUIREMENTS: <p><p>? Four-year University teaching degree in Elementary, Junior High, or Secondary Education<p><p>? Teaching experience at the Junior High or High School level<p><p>? Recognized professional teaching certification<p><p>? Proficiency in English with excellent pronunciation<p><p>? Strong record of assisting students in achieving academic success<p><p>? Significant experience with Math curriculum development<p><p>? Ability to teach in a cross-curricular and 21st Century learning environment<p><p>? Commitment to ongoing professional development and professionalism<p><p>? Proactivity in seeking opportunities to integrate information technology into the curriculum<p><p>? Adaptability to new cultures and languages<p><p>? Ability to work within the culture of a Professional Learning Community<p><p>? Ability to work on a team with intercultural teaching partners and other grade team<p>members<p> <p>PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: <p><p>? Experience coaching, leading, and supporting teachers in applying research-based best<p>practices and instructional approaches<p><p>? Experience in conducting numeracy staff development<p><p>? Experience working with ELL students<p><p>? Teaching experience at multiple grade levels<p><p>? Experience in analyzing data and using results to modify curricula<p><p>? Evidence of successful leadership in math content at a grade level, building level or district<p>level<p><p>?
