Job details
Responsibilities include: * To work as part of a team in a residential program * Supervision and monitoring of clients; fulfill overnight awake responsibilities of supervision and monitoring of all clients; hourly reporting (written and phone call-ins) * Behaviour Management * Assist clients with daily routines and personal care * Administer medication as needed * Household duties (ie. cleaning, laundry, meal prep, etc) * Data collection and documentation * Participate in all scheduled staff training programs * Shift work includes hours between 9 pm-9 am, including weekend rotation (MUST be able to stay until 9 am) Qualifications/Experience: * Post-secondary certificate in DSW, CYW, SSW, or equivalent and/or related University degree/ experience * Knowledge and experience in Mental Health, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and Developmental Challenges * Ability to be an effective liaison with outside parties as required * Demonstrate a caring, nurturing, respectful, non-judgmental attitude * Good interactive/ communication skills (verbal and written) * Good organization and time management skills * Experience in medication administration an asset * Class ?G? Driver?s License would be beneficial \*\* 2 positions are weekends only (Fri-Sun- 12 hour shifts; 2 positions are a combination of weekday & every 2nd weekend- varying shifts) Oakdale Child and Family Service values diversity in the workplace.
