*Overview* Are you passionate about cooking, baking, and home décor? Our Kitchen Corner, a retailer of modern, unique, and exquisite kitchen and home essentials, is expanding our sales team. We're seeking a sales associate for our downtown 100 Mile House kitchen boutique, offering a starting wage of $19.50/hr. Candidates should have solid product knowledge, excellent interpersonal skills, and flexible working hours. This is an excellent opportunity with significant growth potential based on sales results. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will understand customers' needs and guide them to the best products for themselves and others. Knowledge of kitchen store products is beneficial. The ideal candidate will have retail sales experience, strong sales, communication, and problem-solving skills, and can work independently with minimal supervision. Cash handling experience and familiarity with POS and database systems are required. Shifts include daytime hours and mandatory weekend work. Our associates strive to provide exceptional and consistent customer experiences that drive sales growth and foster a positive, welcoming environment. *Responsibilities* * Greet customers warmly and deliver exceptional in-store shopping experiences.. * Maintain knowledge of product selection, location, features, benefits, and in-store promotions and marketing initiatives. * Help to build a highly satisfied and loyal customer base through engagement, needs discovery, product recommendations, and customer information collection for ongoing engagement. * Upsell additional products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales. * Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering duties and cash handling. * Maintain an organized sales floor, ensuring products are well-displayed and stocked. * Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly. * Assist with floorset execution, window changes, and visual presentation as needed. *Qualifications:* * Thrive in a customer-first retail environment. * Show demonstrated sales and customer service results. * Have availability for varied weekly shifts, including weekends, closing, and peak times. * Possess effective communication skills, openness to feedback, and quick adaptability. *Requirements:* * Previous experience in retail sales or customer service * Knowledge of POS and database systems and the ability to quickly learn new technological systems. * Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. * Ensure accuracy in all transactions, inventory, and procedural adherence. * Manage cash operations and perform opening and closing procedures. * Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills. * A proactive attitude towards upselling and promoting products effectively. * Provide exceptional and responsive customer service to achieve sales and conversion goals. * Availability must include flexible days and weekends. * Willingness to work additional shifts during the peak holiday season. * Ability to stand/walk for 8-hour shifts. * Perform other tasks as assigned.
