Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: At heights. Dusty. Outdoors. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints. Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster. Clean and prepare surfaces. Cure freshly plastered surfaces. Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings. Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in finish coat, if required. Attach metal or gypsum lath to studs or furring. Install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings, using hand and power tools. Prepare wall and ceiling layouts. Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages. Repair cracks and holes. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Hand-eye co-ordination. Physically demanding. Weight handling: More than 45 kg (100 lbs). Personal suitability: Reliability. Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?.
