Our projects cover federal government, commercial, residential, institutional, health care, life science, transportation, manufacturing, and industrial sectors. Due to expanding, we are looking for an electrical engineering manager to join our engineering team in Richmond, BC.
*Qualifications*
· Bachelor degree in electrical engineering
· P.Eng with over 15 year experience in lighting, power, fire alarm, communication, security, A/V and PA system design, PMP is a plus
· In depth expertise in CEC, BCBC, ASHRAE, NFPA, CSA, ULC, NEMA, TIA/EIA, IEEE, etc.
· Extensive experience in project management and coordination
· Exceptional communication and leadership skills
· Experience in instrumentation, controls and commissioning is an asset
· Skills in Auto CAD, MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, MS Project, ETAP/SKM/Easypower, AGI32, etc.
· Can legally work in Canada
· Language: fluent in oral and written English
*Responsibilities*
· Report to the president; Lead, manage and expand electrical engineering department
· Lead multiple simultaneous projects from conceptual stages to detail design stages, through to construction and commissioning
· Plan, schedule and determine manpower requirements for multiple concurrent projects
· Ensure the work meets schedules and coordinate assignments with other disciplines
· Supervise and direct engineers, designers and draft persons in preparing design documents, including drawings, specifications, schedules and estimates
· Verify, correct, modify, and authorize electrical technical documents and drawings
· Attend coordination meetings and coordinate design with other architectural and engineering disciplines
· Liaise directly with clients, AHJ?s, contractors and sales reps
· Mentor junior engineers, designers and CAD designers
· Conduct business development. Prepare/review engineering proposals based on clients? RFPs/RFQs
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $100,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
