The District of Saanich is seeking a person to manage a portfolio of municipally owned commercial and residential rental properties and coordinate the management of the PKOLS/Mt. Douglas and Mt. Tolmie communication facilities. The successful candidate will also be required to investigate, value, and negotiate real property acquisitions, sales, expropriations, exchanges, rights-of-ways, leases, rents or other purposes.
The Land Agent analyzes a variety of land reports including appraisals, surveys, property condition assessments, financial statements, and feasibility studies. Part of the role includes preparation of internal property valuations, reports and recommendations for senior officers, liaising with internal and external contacts, and providing direction and technical assistance to the Real Estate Services Administrative Assistant.
Requirements include a University degree in a related field,; in-depth knowledge and experience applying real property appraisal methodology (certification as an accredited appraiser or completion of a program of studies in appraisal methods will be considered an asset), six years real estate related experience including three years of residential and/or commercial property management (managing telecommunications is considered an asset) The successful candidate must meet qualifications to be accepted as a ?Commissioner for Taking Affidavits in British Columbia? hold a valid Class 5 BC Driver?s Licence and have a personal vehicle available for work related use, as and when required. Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
