The well-being of the environment is elemental in our philosophy. *Position Description (Peace River Office)* Reporting to the lead technologist and Engineer you will participate in advancing projects from concept to design to construction performing various tasks; design drafting, quantity take-offs, analyzing legal and land data, preparing and tracking applications, notifications and utility right-of-ways, supporting field staff etc. *Responsibilities* In this position, you will: ? Develop engineering designs and drawings from preliminary concepts and sketches; ? Efficiently prepare subdivision and municipal engineering drawings in accordance to municipal and provincial standards and using the standards set out by Velocity Group ? Participate and assist Engineers and Designers with design and preparation of engineering drawings and specifications; ? Maintain familiarity with current techniques, developments, etc.; ? Successfully carrying out assignments on project teams; ? Perform quantity takeoffs for tasks and materials for estimates, tender schedules and reports; ? Apply your knowledge and understanding of specifications in the production of CAD design drawing sets; ? Facilitate and ensure quality of designs, drawings and graphics work produced for the team; ? Organize and maintain filing of digital and paper copy of design, construction and record / as-built drawings. *Requirements* As the successful candidate you: ? Have formal post-secondary training from a technical program and/or experience in related field; ? Have a minimum of 3 years? experience relating to municipal / land development engineering; ? Are proficient in using Civil 3D and AutoCAD; ? Have design / drafting and field related experience for subdivisions, site services, municipal infrastructure and rehabilitation projects; ? Ideally have a good understanding of preliminary and construction survey requirements; ? Demonstrate a high attention to detail; ? Are able to work overtime, when required; ? Work well as part of a team or on an individual basis; ? Have the ability to identify and set priorities and possess effective time management skills.
