*Job Summary* We are seeking a casual on call Diesel and Isuzu Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with the ability to work on a variety of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. This role requires expertise in diagnosing mechanical issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all equipment operates safely and efficiently. *Duties* * Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems in diesel engines and related systems. * Perform repairs and maintenance on diesel vehicles, including trucks, cranes, and forklifts. * Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively to assemble and disassemble components. * Read and interpret schematics to understand vehicle systems and components. * Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used. * Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repair tasks. * Follow safety protocols while working in the shop or on-site to prevent accidents. * Assist in training junior mechanics as needed. *Qualifications* * Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role, preferably in a dealership or heavy equipment environment. * Proficiency with automotive repair techniques and the use of various hand tools and power tools. * Red seal preferred, journeyman or relevant experience 3+ years * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. * Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues and clients. * Valid driver's license is required; additional certifications related to diesel mechanics are preferred but not mandatory.
