Successful candidates are expected to: understand the importance of supporting a welcoming environment; <p> present a positive attitude towards inclusion and diversity; <p> identify opportunities to support inclusion and diversity; and, <p> take meaningful action.Chinook School Division is seeking a Custodian to work three days per week for 3 hrs/day (days/hours of work are somewhat negotiable). <p>Start Date: December 9, 2024 <p>Qualifications: Ability to deal tactfully and cooperatively with public, students, staff<p> Proficient in the use of all hand tools and equipment<p> Good mechanical ability with strong capabilities in the area of troubleshooting<p> Good physical condition<p> Previous cleaning and floor care experience in a public facility<p> Self-directed, able to complete assigned tasks without supervisionDuties (may include but are not limited to): Daily cleaning and disinfecting when students are in attendance <p> Special cleaning during school breaks<p> Minor repairs and maintenance<p> Operating mechanical equipment such as snow blower, lawn mower, power scrubber etc. <p> Yard work, including snow removal and lawn mowing <p> Extensive lifting may be required up to and including 20kg.
