Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work site environment: Tree and orchard fruit. Work setting: Rural area. Tasks: Organize planting, cultivating and crop harvesting activities. Train trees to produce more fruit of higher quality. Maintain farm machinery, equipment and buildings. Prune trees. Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers. Maintain clean and safe work environment. Provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying or harvesting. Supervision: More than 20 people. Type of crops: Apples. Equipment and machinery experience: Sprayer or duster. Tractor. Truck. Irrigation pumps and equipment. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Physically demanding. Work under pressure. Overtime required. Ability to distinguish between colours. Ability to work independently. Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication. Organized. Team player. Leadership.
