*Job Summary*
We have a full-time opportunity for a dental receptionist at dental specialty clinic in Brampton.
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our dental office. This role requires proficiency in handling phone systems, electronic medical records, and familiarity with dental terminology and practice management softwares.
Knowledge of dental/medical terminology is an added asset. We are looking for a positive, detail-oriented team player who can communicate clearly and has a professional friendly demeanor.
This position also entails educating and orientation of new patients, along with presenting treatment plans with focuses on the Oral & Maxillofacial specialty (e.g. Oral Surgery, Dental Implants and various Oral/Jaw Related Procedures) and Endodontic specialty (Root Canal Procedures).
Please note that preference will be given to candidates with dental reception experience or with a dental education background.
*Duties*
* Greet patients warmly as they arrive at the office and assist them with check-in procedures.
* Manage incoming calls, schedule appointments, and handle patient inquiries efficiently.
* Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
* Process patient information and verify insurance coverage prior to appointments.
* Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth patient flow throughout the day.
* Prepare treatment rooms and assist with administrative tasks as needed, including filing and data entry.
* Communicate effectively with patients regarding their treatment plans, appointment reminders, and follow-up care.
* Uphold a clean and organized front desk area to create a welcoming environment for patients.
*Qualifications*
* Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar administrative role within a dental office is preferred.
* Proficiency in phone systems and electronic medical records management is essential.
* Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures to facilitate effective communication with patients and staff.
* Experience with practice management software OMS Vision is highly desirable.
* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing patient information and scheduling.
* Excellent interpersonal skills to provide outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to multitask while maintaining professionalism and composure under pressure.
