*Position Summary*
We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented General Manager to lead our operations and drive sustainable growth. This is a key leadership role, overseeing a plant with approximately 50-100 employees and ensuring operational excellence, safety, and profitability.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Oversee all plant operations, addressing production line stops, safety violations, and chronic defects.
* Monitor and manage budgets, control costs, and review forecasts, capital expenditures, and headcount.
* Drive business growth by strengthening the plant?s competitive position, reviewing quotes, and engaging with customers.
* Develop and implement business plans to achieve established goals and objectives.
* Establish and enforce policies and procedures to protect company assets and ensure compliance.
* Serve as a liaison with customers and suppliers to enhance profitability and operational efficiency.
* Participate in internal quality audits to evaluate and improve quality and environmental systems.
* Foster a safe and secure work environment while promoting Lean Manufacturing techniques.
* Lead initiatives focused on quality, cost reduction, on-time delivery, safety, employee relations, and overall plant performance.
*Qualifications*
* Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in plastics or materials compounding.
* Strong expertise in operational management, budget planning, and cost control.
* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices and ISO-certified quality systems.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and employees.
* Demonstrated ability to create strategic plans and drive organizational success.
