Job details
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work setting: Room and board provided. Tasks: Apply fertilizers. Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens and other work areas. Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable lots and non-marketable lots. Grade vegetables and fruits into different grades according to the size, shape, colour and volume to fetch high price in market.. Pack fruits and vegetables. Seed cutting. Train trees to produce more fruit of higher quality. Clean work area. Fertilize and spray crops. Load, unload and transfer crates, supplies and farm produce, livestock and poultry. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Experience: Will train. Supports for visible minorities: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports members of visible minorities. Applies hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities (for example: anonymizing the hiring process, etc.). Offers mentorship programs that pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees.
