*Job summary*
The cook will prepare high-quality meals in accordance with food health and safety regulations and company standards.
*This is a weekend position *
*Reports to*: HR, Safety and Compliance or designate
*Duties and responsibilities*
* Prepare and assemble ingredients for menu items
* Cook menu items using various kitchen tools/equipment and cooking methods
* Make adjustments to menu to accommodate clients with specific diet and health concerns
* Store ingredients at proper temperatures and proper packaging
* Ensure that food portions and food presentation meet company standards
* Plan menus and ordering stock
* Inspect deliveries to ensure integrity
* Select and follow recipes
* Measure, weigh and mix ingredients
· Sanitize food preparation areas
· Maintain all kitchen equipment and utensils sanitized and tidy
· Ensure a high standard of cleanliness and order
· Follow food health and safety protocols
*Requirements and qualifications*
· Physically able to withstand extended hours of standing, bending and moving around
· Food handler certificate
· Organized and able to follow a schedule
· Ability to follow recipe instructions
· Attention to detail
· Ability to work with little supervision
· Client-oriented and friendly
· Time management skill

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
