Job details
*Key Responsibilities:* * Collaborate with supervisors and leads to determine project needs and goals. * Create dynamic simulations, including fluids, fire, smoke, rigid body dynamics, and other complex effects using Houdini. * Produce high-quality test renders and final renders of FX elements for shots. * Work closely with other artists to integrate FX elements into shots seamlessly. * Actively participate in team and production meetings. * Meet project deadlines and maintain a high level of quality. * Troubleshoot technical issues and implement creative solutions. * Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies. *Qualifications:* * Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in visual effects. * Strong proficiency in Houdini, including VEX scripting and Python scripting. * Solid understanding of 3D software (Maya) and compositing software (Nuke). * Background in computer science, mathematics, physics, architecture, or engineering. * Experience working on feature films, television, or commercials. * Keen eye for detail, composition, lighting, and color. * Ability to take direction and work effectively in a fast-paced team environment. * Strong communication and problem-solving skills. * Ontario residency. *Preferred Skills:* * Experience in complex fluid simulations, including upres, clustering, and wedging techniques. * Familiarity with 3delight for Houdini.
