*Responsibilities:*
* Work closely with the operational staff to ensure customers? needs and expectations are met.
* Track and trace all active orders for current on-time status and proactively contact customers, providing them with shipment status.
* Seek alternate solutions with customers in the event of a service deviation, including change of pick up or delivery appointments.
* Updating and entering in all information in our transportation management database
* Recording and communicating to the necessary responsible functions all customer complaints regarding freight orders, service, and delivery.
* Finding solutions to customer complaints regarding service to maximize customer satisfaction.
* Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.
*Non-negotiable core competencies:*
* Five or more years of customer service experience
* Three to five years of prior experience in the transportation sector, including in-depth knowledge of transportation management databases.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Professional and service oriented
* Proven analytical, problem solving, decision-making and relationship building skills.
* Ability to prioritize tasks in a deadline-driven environment in both a team and individual environment.
* Previous experience with Truckmate software.
* Ability to attend work punctually and consistently.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
