Job details
Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate. Work setting: Commercial. Residential. Tasks: Install domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems. Repair domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems. Instruct apprentices. Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings. Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment. Schedule personnel, tools and equipment. Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges. Supervise other workers. Measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required shape and size. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Plumber Trade Certification. Natural Gas License. Plumber Red Seal Certificate. Gas Fitter Red Seal Certificate. Apprenticeship training: Level three apprenticeship training. Level four apprenticeship training. Level five apprenticeship training. Security and safety: Bondable. Criminal record check. Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Vehicle supplied by employer. Valid driver's licence. Own tools/equipment: Tools. Steel-toed safety boots. Hard hat.
