\*Job Summary\* We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The Carpenter will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures according to specifications. \*Duties\* - Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications - Measure and mark cutting lines on materials - Install structures and fixtures such as windows, molding, cabinets, doors, and hardware - Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes - Repair or replace damaged framework or other structures - Install exterior (and interior) siding, panelling, flashing, soffit, eavestrough, etc -Utilize various tools including power tools to cut and shape materials - Perform general maintenance tasks as needed \*Requirements\* - Proficiency in using a variety of tools including power tools - Experience in cabinet installation, concrete forming, drywall work, masonry, and construction painting is preferred - Ability to work independently or as part of a team - Strong attention to detail and precision in workmanship - Knowledge of construction estimating is a plus The ideal candidate should be comfortable working at heights and outdoors in colder temperatures. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $25.00-$38.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40 per week Additional pay: * Overtime pay Benefits: * Paid time off Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Day shift * Monday to Friday Work Location: In person- LocationOttawa, ON
