Our Pediatric dental clinic in North York is looking for an enthusiastic dental hygienist to join our team! The eligible candidate would be working on a part time basis on Mondays and Thursdays. Our current hours of operation on these days are 8:00am to 4:00pm. Location: 303-121 Willowdale Ave, North York, ON, M2N 6A3 Duties include: * patient screening procedures; such as oral health conditions, review of the health history, oral cancer screening, head and neck inspection, dental charting and taking blood pressure and pulse * taking and developing dental radiographs * removing calculus and plaque from all surfaces of the teeth * applying preventive materials to the teeth * teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health * counselling patients about good nutrition and its impact on oral health * performing administrative tasks when necessary, such as booking clients * sterilization of instruments and ensuring all IPAC rules are followed * Following CDHO guidelines * keeping the clinic at a high level of organization * Other duties as needed by management *Summary* As a Dental Hygienist, you will be integral to our dental team, reporting directly to the dentist and the team lead. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional patient care through thorough cleanings, assessments, and education on oral hygiene practices. Utilizing your core skills in customer service, you will ensure a comfortable experience for patients. *Qualifications* * Valid dental hygienist license with the CDHO is required * Strong customer service skills is required * Proficiency in medical and dental terminology is required * Experience with Open Dental software is preferred * Knowledge of pediatric dentistry is preferred * Previous dental assisting or hygienist experience is preferred * Familiarity with dental office procedures and protocols is required Job Types: Part-time, Permanent Pay: From $45.00 per hour Expected hours: 16 per week Benefits: * Dental care Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * 8 hour shift Ability to commute/relocate: * North York, ON M2N 6A3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Application question(s): * Are you able to work between the hours of 7:30am and 4:30pm?
