The Crowne Plaza Lord Beaverbrook Hotel is seeking a dynamic professional to fill its Assistant Executive Housekeeper position. The candidate will contribute to the Hotel?s profitability through a combination of expert customer service and effective problem-resolution practices. Specific responsibilities include maintaining and implementing all policies, procedures, and standards and assisting with the housekeeping team's training and development. Upon the retirement of the Executive Housekeeper, the successful candidate will have the first opportunity to move into this role.
*Basic responsibilities: *
* Work closely with Front Desk to ensure guest satisfaction and consistency in Guest Service
* Maintain a professional manner with all hotel guests and employees
* Maintain guest/employee confidentiality
* Ensure adequate linen and guest supplies are stocked on a cart, the storage area is cleaned daily, and all equipment used is in good working condition before commencing daily duties
* Ensure the proper handling, storage, and controls of cleaning products and the security of all housekeeping equipment and supplies
* Ensure the safety of Guests/employees and the safe handling of all cleaning products
* Report maintenance and lost and found items immediately
* Maintain familiarity with fire alarm procedures
* Managing the purchasing and inventory of supplies for the housekeeping department
* Supervising and training other members of the housekeeping staff
* Coordinating with other departments to ensure that rooms are ready for guests upon check-in
* Reporting any maintenance issues to the appropriate staff member for resolution
* Foster a spirit of teamwork while ensuring the department provides superior customer service to the hotel
*Skill, abilities, and qualifications:*
· Three years related experience with housekeeping operations
· Minimum one-year supervisory experience
· High provision in computer skills and proven analytical and problem
· Excellent communication skills
· Able to maintain a flexible work schedule, evenings, and weekends
· *Capable of managing multiple priorities and working under pressure*
· *Able to speak in both official languages is considered an asset*
