Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Tasks: Explain procedures. Operate X-ray, radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment. Position patients. Wear radiation detection equipment to acquire data for use by nuclear medicine physicians in the diagnosis of disease. Apply radiation protection measures. Explain procedures and side effects of radiation. Record and process patient data. Provide appropriate care and monitoring of the patient during the examination. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Certification of the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists. Certification by a provincial or territorial association.
